Color

Ladies and gentlemen! My color is done!
That's right, the four part piece that I did the lineart for last post is now fully colored and ready to go. Although I may redo one of the pieces that got a little scarred because of some careless classmates. Other than that, I'm also completing a personal work on the side. Hopefully when It's done I'll upload it onto my Flickr. Which reminds me: I'm going to make two new albums: Breadth, and concentration. Of course Breadth is going to be the only one occupied at the moment but hopefully I'll start on my concentration soon. I've got the great idea of taking everyday people and making them into mythical humanoids. That's just the basic thought, and I may change it, but that's it so far. I think that's all I've got as far as news goes. So until next time, later alligators!

Line-art

Line-art for my current project: All done!
That's right! I'm done with all of the line-art for my four piece series and am hoping to start the coloring process tomorrow. Other than that I'm getting a new sketchbook today (filled the other one up already) and am hopefully gonna get it in a bigger format. My current sketchbook is good for transportation but it's too small of a workspace (even for me). Well that's about it in my art-centered part of life. Until next time, 幸運良い
(Good luck and good days!)

Hey Hey Hey!

Hello boys and girls!
It's Kat again, and I've got some good news. I've taken a turn in my sketch book from a wierd, manga style to toning it down as I illustrate different video game characters. I think it's a good way to change up my style and the more I sketch in Blizzard's style the better I'm adapting to being a BIT more realistic (but of course, it's still cartoony). Although I had fun during my manga stage I think it's time to learn as an artist and I'm really excited about learning this new style. Well, that's it for now! Love you all!

It'sa me!

Hey everybody! It'sa me, Kat!
So far so good. I've been uploading sketches about every day and making good progress wth my portfolio. I've now completed the thumbnail work and am working on my first peice out of the four I selected to do. I'm really impressed with it so far. I'm hoping to have some fun with cross hatching and my favorite, favorite ink (and colored pencil, of course). But I'm also going to complete the other three peices all in different media. So far my thoughts are watercolor, then marker, then collage. I may change my mind but that's it so far. Hasta la vista everybody! Ill talk to you later! Oh yes, PS. I'm thinking of making a twitter specifically for my art-life. So once I get that up and running I'll feed it to my blog. See ya'll!

Good News

Good news! I've recently created an account on Flickr just for my sketchbook work! You see that link over there? To your top left underneath my fishies? Yeah, that's the link to my sketchbook. Crappy Pic quality but I hope to fix that soon. As for formal work, I'm going to begin a new project today hopefully. I've done all of my thumbnail sketches for four peices that I want to complete. I'm thinking of starting with the one I've deemed "Love". No details on the work yet but I'll upload it as soon as it's done. Until then, hasta la vista!
